NEDA is an Egyptian Non-Profit Association, registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity (No. 6552/2006). NEDA was established by a group of intellectuals and businessmen/ women with the purpose of qualifying youth to comply with the demanding requirements of the job market.
The experience of NEDA and its partners has shown that Egypt is suffering from a severe labor gap rather than just unemployment challenge. This is reflected in the absence of the adequate experiences with the qualifications needed to support national entities in facing the challenges of globalization and competitive business environment. NEDA believes that all stakeholders of the Egyptian society, including the government, international organizations, private businesses and civil society organizations, have an important role in addressing this gap through developing youth skills, work ethics and attitudes. Hence, NEDA recognized the importance of its mission in contributing to the development of our Country through addressing one of its major socio-economic issues, the unemployment.

NEDA will work with youth and the community to qualify disadvantage youth for the labor market through awareness and training. Hence, they will have the knowledge, skills and attitude that match the needs of the labor market.
NEDA will work in partnership with civil society organizations through sharing a sustainable model for qualifying youth for the labor market.
NEDA will work with the private sector to promote and support a culture of corporate social responsibility in order to provide better opportunities for youth. Thus, Egyptian youth will have a fair chance to compete in the labor market and lead a decent life towards greater prosperity for Egypt.
