NEDA is an Egyptian Non-Profit Association, registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity (No. 6552/2006). NEDA was established by a group of intellectuals and businessmen/ women with the purpose of qualifying youth to comply with the demanding requirements of the job market.
The experience of NEDA and its partners has shown that Egypt is suffering from a severe labor gap rather than just unemployment challenge. This is reflected in the absence of the adequate experiences with the qualifications needed to support national entities in facing the challenges of globalization and competitive business environment.
- NEDA trained 1750 youth (35 batches) in the areas of Ain Shams, Maadi, Basateen, Shubra Al Khaimah, El Haram, Imbaba and Shubra Masr with an average employment rate of 85%.
- NEDA managed to transfer its model to 4 local NGOs. Based on this, MYTC) was able to fund and manage a separate project that targeted 244 youth (6 Batches) from Maadi and Helwan districts with an average employment rate of 86%.
